Choose the right transfer from Lima’s new airport terminal to Miraflores
Compare the Miraflores airport bus, authorized taxis, ride apps and AeroDirecto, including stops, hours and new-terminal pickup details.

The practical choice depends on your arrival time, luggage and where you are staying in Miraflores:
- Take Airport Express Lima if it is running when you leave the terminal and your accommodation is an easy walk from one of its four Miraflores stops.
- Use an authorized airport taxi, hotel transfer or ride app if you arrive late, have several bags or want a door-to-door trip.
- Check AeroDirecto’s current routes before choosing it for Miraflores. The routes in ATU’s cited 2025 notice did not terminate there; those services require another leg to the hotel.
Airport Express estimates 50–70 minutes from the airport to Miraflores, depending on traffic. Do not plan a fixed hotel arrival around that estimate; any road transfer can take longer when traffic is heavy (Airport Express Lima).
Use the new terminal address
Jorge Chávez International Airport’s new terminal began full operations on 1 June 2025. Its only vehicular entrance is on Avenida Morales Duárez in Callao, rather than the former entrance on Avenida Elmer Faucett (Agencia Andina; Cabify).
When arranging a pickup, specify “nuevo terminal del Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez, Av. Morales Duárez” and agree on a meeting point. Avoid an old saved pin or instruction referring to the former terminal.
Compare the options
| Option | Best for | Published details | Main tradeoff |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Express Lima | Travellers staying near a designated stop | Hourly airport departures, 7am–10pm; S/15 offer for 2+ passengers on the same flight; four Miraflores stops | Not door to door; no overnight service |
| Authorized airport taxi | Late arrivals, groups and substantial luggage | Counters in domestic and international arrivals | Confirm the total fare before paying |
| Ride app or prearranged transfer | Door-to-door travel with a clear meeting plan | Pickup point depends on the operator; Cabify uses parking area E1 | Requires coordination in a large terminal |
| AeroDirecto | Budget travellers comfortable making another connection | ATU’s 2025 notices published S/2–S/5 fares and overnight service on five routes | The cited 2025 route list did not include Miraflores; check current coverage |
These details were checked on 30 October 2026, but schedules, fares and meeting points can change. Recheck the relevant operator page shortly before travelling.
Airport Express: the direct daytime bus
Airport Express currently publishes departures from the airport every hour from 7am through 10pm. Luggage is included (current timetable).
The advertised fare starts at S/15, but that offer applies when at least two passengers with boarding passes for the same flight travel together. A solo passenger should check the live fare rather than assume S/15 applies (ticket conditions).
At the airport, the service counter is on the first floor near Exits 2 and 3; the operator says it accepts cash and cards. An online ticket can be shown on a phone and is flexible across departures under the operator’s conditions (how the service works).
The four Miraflores stops are:
- Marriott/Larcomar — Malecón de la Reserva, in front of Larcomar
- Tourist Information Center — Avenida José Larco at San Martín
- Parque Kennedy — Avenida Diagonal at Calle Berlín
- Hotel Boulevard — Avenida José Pardo at Avenida Jorge Chávez
Compare your accommodation with the operator’s current stop list. A hotel near Larcomar may suit the Marriott stop, while accommodation north of Parque Kennedy may be closer to Hotel Boulevard.
Choose another option if your flight lands close to the final 10pm departure, immigration and baggage collection could take you beyond it, or the final walk looks awkward with luggage. For an evening arrival, save a taxi, transfer or app backup before flying.
Taxi or ride app: better for door-to-door travel
The airport lists authorized taxi counters in domestic and international arrivals; staff guide customers from the counter to a dedicated vehicle area (Jorge Chávez airport). Confirm the destination and total fare at the desk rather than accepting an unsolicited offer in arrivals.
A hotel-arranged transfer can also simplify a late arrival if the property provides the driver’s name, meeting point and contact number in advance.
Ride apps do not necessarily collect passengers immediately outside the arrivals doors. Cabify, for example, directs passengers to its marked point in E1 parking: go to the terminal’s second floor, cross the boulevard, turn left in front of the Costa del Sol hotel and descend the ramp. Cabify says its airport supplement includes parking (Cabify’s airport instructions). Check your chosen app after landing rather than assuming every operator uses E1.
The airport has separate areas for quick pickup and for vehicles authorized by Lima Airport Partners. A prearranged driver may therefore direct you to a designated zone instead of the nearest terminal door (MTC pickup-zone explanation).
AeroDirecto: confirm the current route before relying on it
The latest detailed ATU network information located for this guide was published in July 2025. It listed six AeroDirecto routes: Sur, Centro, Norte, Quilca, Ventanilla and Terminal Norte. That notice placed the Sur terminus at Galerías Brasil and Centro at Plaza San Martín; none of its listed routes terminated in Miraflores.
The same ATU notice gives fares of S/2–S/5, says luggage is permitted and describes the service as operating 24 hours (ATU routes and fares). An earlier ATU overnight plan, published in June 2025, covers five routes: buses roughly hourly on Sur, Norte, Centro and Ventanilla, and about every 30 minutes on Quilca (ATU overnight schedule). Check ATU again before relying on these frequencies.
Using one of those published routes for Miraflores means getting off elsewhere—such as the Avenida Brasil corridor or central Lima—and arranging another connection. Confirm whether ATU has added a more suitable route before deciding. It may reduce the first-leg fare, but it adds navigation, waiting and a transfer with luggage. It is generally more useful to travellers who already understand Lima’s geography than to someone making a tired first arrival.
Build a plan that survives a delay
Before departure:
- Save the hotel’s full street address and confirm that it is in Miraflores.
- Measure the walk from the nearest Airport Express stop. If it is farther than you want to walk with bags, use door-to-door transport.
- Estimate when you will actually leave the terminal, allowing for immigration and baggage collection.
- Recheck the bus timetable and fare shortly before travel.
- Save a fallback: the airport taxi page, your hotel’s transfer contact or a ride app with a working payment method.
- Screenshot the meeting instructions and hotel address so the plan does not depend entirely on airport mobile data.
For a daytime arrival near Larcomar, Avenida Larco, Parque Kennedy or Avenida Pardo, compare the live Airport Express fare with the final walk. For a late arrival, a group or accommodation away from those stops, a properly arranged door-to-door ride avoids the awkward last leg.
